About Haut-Lac International Bilingual School - Roches Grises Campus

Haut-Lac International Bilingual School, a co-educational day-school, was founded in 1993 and now welcomes 650 students representing over 40 nationalities on its three campus sites. Not only the expatriates living in the area, but also a considerable number of local Swiss families, appreciate the multicultural environment, the caring atmosphere and the individual attention that the school provides.

An experienced staff team of 150 full and part-time teachers delivers a rich and diverse curriculum in French and English.  This is based on an internally developed programme in the Primary school which focuses on Linked Learning, Bilingualism and Internationalism.  Secondary students follow the Middle Years and Diploma Programmes of the International Baccalaureate, with a wide choice of subjects taught in English and French. On leaving Haut-Lac, students go on to further studies at universities primarily in Europe, the UK and the USA.

The school’s situation on the north-eastern shores of Lake Geneva is conducive to the running of many extra-curricular and sporting activities ranging from skiing and sailing to football and tennis.

Parental involvement is welcomed and everyone within the school community is encouraged to work together to support the life and purpose of Haut-Lac.
