Dundonald Nursery is part of the Building Blocks childcare it is located in Wimbledon, close to main line station and close to Dundonald tram links. The Nursery is open from 7.30-6.30pm Monday-Friday all year round.

The Nursery School Teacher must hold their QTS (Qualified Teacher’s Status) and have knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage, with at least 1 years’ experience working in a Nursery setting or reception class. The Nursery Teacher will work 8-1pm Monday to Friday term time only, and is responsible for planning the curriculum for the Nursery School children and overseeing all the EYP’s (Early Years Practitioners) planning & assessment. The Nursery School Teacher will lead the morning program; 9 – 11.45am Term Time only and is responsible for all staff during this time. This person will be expected to manage teacher-led activities, lead children in both small and large groups and in particular their booster groups which will support or extend children in areas across the curriculum. This person is also expected to provide the highest quality of care and education for the children and the highest level of communication and support to parents and supporting others in doing the same. This person is a mentor to the other practitioners in their room, a leader of staff and should ably and enthusiastically maintain an environment that promotes the goals of the room and the Nursery.
