Fixed term to cover maternity leave

Our successful and welcoming school seeks a committed and enthusiastic practitioner to cover our Nursery teacher’s role whilst she is on maternity leave. Bells Farm is a small and lively school which thrives as a fantastic place to learn and work. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who wants to gain further experience or build on existing experience of teaching in the early years in a supportive and enabling environment.

Our nursery offers morning or afternoon sessions for 3 and 4 year olds. You will be well-supported by experienced teaching assistants, and will be supported in your role by the reception teacher, who is the Early Years Leader.

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Has experience of teaching in the early years
  • Can articulate their thinking about the development of children’s enjoyment and achievement in the early years
  • Has a track record of being a good or better practitioner
  • Possess good organisational and communication skills and the ability to work as part of the school team
  • Can think strategically and act practically to promote the ethos of learning
  • Has a commitment to working in partnership alongside parents and the local community

We can offer you:

  • A hard-working and creative school committed to providing the best education opportunities possible
  • A school which is passionate about the development of a broad and rich curriculum for all
  • Delightful, happily engaged children who are eager to learn
  • Dedicated and skilled staff who will support and welcome you to the team
  • A commitment to your CPD

The welfare and safety of children who attend our school is our paramount concern, and we expect all members of the school community to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be required to apply for an Enhanced Disclosure from the DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service.)

Closing date: 6th March 2015 at 9 am.
Interviews to be held week commencing 9th March, 2015.

Informal visits are welcomed and can be arranged by contacting Mrs Lloyd on 0121 675 8666.
