Offsite SENCo and Family Liaison Officer

Due to ongoing success and growth, we're hiring an Offsite Provision Deputy

Red Balloon NWL is a unique workplace, providing support and empowerment to engage with young people and achieve professional goals, free from mainstream system constraints. We're a small, nurturing community, prioritising staff development and wellbeing as much as our students'.

At Red Balloon, we deliver full-time education for students who have self-excluded from mainstream schools for various reasons. Our methodology emphasises wellbeing at the core of students' education, focusing on mental health, personal growth, and positive social interactions along with academic instruction.

Students have an inherent right to respectful and caring treatment, independent of behaviour or academic performance. Each member of our community adheres to our policy of unconditional positive regard – everyone (staff or student) should always treat others with respect and dignity, no matter the situation.

All staff are invested in and actively participate in student wellbeing, integrating mental health support and personal growth throughout the day, not just in designated therapy sessions.

Both in out out of the centres, we offer academic instruction from Entry Level to GCSE in subjects aligned with students' interests or future plans. Almost all students study English, Maths, Science, and Art at a minimum, with most pursuing additional subjects in the centre, online or though our offsite provision.

The purpose of this new role is to assist in delivering an individual programme of learning for students who require a vocational/outdoor/off-site setting for the majority of their learning. As Offsite SENCo you will co-ordinate support for the SEND of students that belong to our offsite provision.
