Objectives of this Role:

We seek to appoint a talented and enthusiastic Secondary teacher of Art & Design to join our team.

Our successful candidate must have a minimum of 2 years' teaching experience at GCSE level through a UK-based exam board. The role will require an August 2024 start and is NOT suitable for ECT. The candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and is able to work alongside other experienced team members to promote the strategic vision of the school.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in developing and growing the department as well as monitor and deliver outstanding teaching practices in accordance with the UK curriculum, to provide a high quality and stimulating learning experience to our Key Stage 3 & 4.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

·      Bachelor’s degree plus QTS and PGCE

·      The bachelor’s degree must be in a directly related field (e.g. Chemistry teacher should have a science related bachelor’s degree)

·      Qualified Teacher Status with 2 years of post-qualification experience in delivering the National Curriculum for England to students in Key Stage 3 & 4.

·      Committed professionals who are dedicated to raising standards in alignment with the school’s vision, mission and values.

·      A proven track record of successful teaching and securing outstanding results through ensuring high quality teaching and learning, built on current pedagogical practices and forward-thinking initiatives.

·      The ability to use data effectively, to monitor and enhance student progress

·      Excellent organisational and time management skills.

·      Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·      Commitment to the values of inclusion, diversity, and wellbeing.

·      Teachers with a natural desire to develop and contribute to the schools Professional Learning Community.

·      A professional who works collaboratively, both within their immediate team and across the wider school community.
