Collingham College is looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic PA to the Principal, to work part-time, 3 days a week, during term time and school holidays.

Collingham is a small college in an elegant townhouse in the heart of Kensington, West London overlooking a delightful garden square. We have over forty years of GCSE and sixth-form experience and are one of London's leading independent colleges.

As post holder, you will be responsible for providing a timely and highly effective administrative service to the principal and wider Senior Management team. This will also include participating in efficiently running the school reception and office, and additional administrative support.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This is illustrative of the general nature and level of responsibility of the work to be undertaken, commensurate with the grade. This is not a comprehensive list of all tasks that the post holder will carry out.

● Support the Principal positively and proactively, demonstrating high initiative and confidentiality across a broad range of office management activities.

● Oversee and process incoming and outgoing posts and emails for the Principal

● Use initiative to handle all incoming telephone call enquiries and correspondence on the Principal’s behalf, and if necessary make any telephone calls as directed by the Principal.

● Manage the Principal’s diary, including the arrangement of appointments, and management of events and protected time.

● Produce correspondence, reports, presentations and any other documentation as required for the Principal.

 ● Research and compile statistical documentation/reports as directed by the Principal.

GENERAL:

● Maintain strict confidentiality of all information belonging to the Schools. It is important, and a condition of employment, that all information of any kind is treated as confidential and not disclosed or used other than as authorised and in the proper performance of the Schools business.

● Take responsibility for their own professional development, continually keep updated and contribute to the Schools as a learning organisation.

● To contribute to the Health and Safety of pupils and other staff per Health and Safety regulations and DSE legislation.

 ● Comply with the policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person

 ● Be aware of and support differences and ensure equal opportunities for all.

 ● Contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the Schools.

● Develop constructive relationships and communicate with other agencies/professionals.

● Recognise your strengths and areas of expertise and use these to advise and support others.

● To undertake any other duties and responsibilities, which do not change the character and purpose of the post as directed by the Principal / Deputy.
