Working hours are flexible to reflect the life of a busy boarding school.

Applications should be made by Thursday 11th April 2024

We are seeking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic Art Teacher to work 3 to 4 days day per week, in an exciting and highly creative prep school Art Department based in Ascot.

Working hours will be varied as some scholars’ classes are taught two evenings per week, until 7.45 pm, and on two Sundays each term.

Art is a high profile subject in the school with a designated and well equipped art room.

The successful applicant would need to be proficient in a variety of media and be capable of teaching drawing and painting to A level standard. The applicant will work with a range of ages from Year 2 – 8 and would need to devise projects for each age and ability range.

The applicant will also teach the Art Scholars whose quality of work should be of a high GCSE level. They will also need to consider how the Art Scholars could be stretched to cover a wide range of techniques and media, and will be responsible for compiling design sheets and preparing the portfolios. The boys have won a significant number of Art Scholarships to top public schools and we have high expectations for the future.
