Job overview

Herefordshire and Ludlow College have an established portfolio of outdoor focused programmes delivered in partnership with the University of Worcester. We are seeking to appoint a lecturer to work across our outdoor undergraduate provision, with a specific focus on the BSc Physical Education and Outdoor Education pathway.

You will need to have significant experience of working in a variety of challenging outdoor environments and a passion for developing and supporting others to succeed. The ability to effectively apply theory to practice is essential across all teaching.

Alongside recent relevant school based teaching experience, the ideal candidate will hold a range of national governing body awards; to include as a minimum ML, SPA and UKCC Level 2 with moderate water endorsement or BCU level 3 coach.

In order to succeed you must be enthusiastic, self motivated, capable of managing your own time and working independently, adaptable and student focused.

Herefordshire and Ludlow College mixed, non-denominational, further education institution with a further education institution located in Hereford, Herefordshire and a sixth form College located in Ludlow, Shropshire. The school was originally opened in 1946 to address the need for local tradespeople. 

The school’s population consists mainly of adults, approximating to 7,000 full time and part time students. Herefordshire and Ludlow College offers a wide range of courses which include, health, public service, childcare, food safety, engineering, business administration, plumbing, catering, languages and sewing.
