Premises Manager

Hours: 5 days (36 hours) per week, 52 weeks per year

Ark Boulton Academy will join the Ark network in September 2015. The Academy, which was previously Golden Hillock School, is a 6 form entry secondary school (11-16) in Sparkhill, Birmingham. Ark Boulton will join Ark’s thriving hub of primary and secondary schools in Birmingham.

We are looking to recruit an experienced Premises Manager to join our operations team. As Premises Manager you will be responsible for the overall management for the school premises. You will work closely with the operations team to ensure that the buildings and grounds are maintained and run efficiently, maximising sustainability and value for money. The post holder will also be the principal key holder and lead on allocating the day to day duties of the premises staff and management of projects and contractors.

Ideal candidates will:

• be highly skilled and experienced in caretaking, building and/or garden maintenance
• have the ability to effectively manage the grounds, general maintenance, security, and health & safety of a secondary academy site
• have excellent communication and organisation skills
• have the skills to manage, motivate and inspire and small team.

You will be able to work collaboratively with other members of academy staff, and be open and eager to support student progress and achievement. In addition, you will receive training provided by one of the country’s top academy networks.
