This is an exciting time to be joining Byron College and to become an established member of our team as we move in 2025 to a new site and from a 2 form-entry school to a 3 form-entry school.

Qualifications: 

• A certified UK teaching qualification or equivalent, such as B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent (PGCE/PGDE must be accompanied by a subject relevant Bachelor’s Degree), and QTS.

Successful applicants must have:

• Good subject knowledge, with extensive experience of the British curriculum.
• A proven track record of providing high quality learning and teaching to students.
• Flexible and innovative approach to working.   
• Willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school is essential.
• A sense of humour and be a team player.

Desirable qualities:

• Experience of integrating technology into primary teaching - particularly in the use of Google Workspace.
• Subject Leadership experience - particularly in core curriculum areas or computing.
• Experience of curriculum design/implementation.

Important notes:

Greek Applicants - You must hold a relevant degree and have completed the registry of teachers for private schools (Epetirida), or hold the qualifications to do so. Please note that international qualifications are not recognised as qualified teacher status for Greek candidates within Greece.

International Applicants - You must hold a relevant Degree from the same country as your passport. You must also hold a relevant teaching qualification again from the country of your passport - UK applicants must hold QTS with a Department for Education Teacher Reference Number. Please note that the iPGCE is not currently recognised in Greece & Language Qualifications such as TESOL & DELTA are not accepted.
