An exciting opportunity to join the staff team at Cobham Free School, Surrey’s first Free school, whose Primary Department opened in September 2012.

The school has since grown year on year and will, from September 2015, be a complete one form entry Primary Department, with pupils from reception through to year six. The Primary Department is popular and oversubscribed.

We are now looking to appoint a well qualified, dynamic primary class teacher to join our friendly and supportive team for a fixed term maternity cover (Lower KS2).

We are looking for individuals who:

  • are flexible, highly committed practitioners;
  • are keen to be involved in our varied and dynamic extra-curricular programme;
  • are passionate, highly creative, self-motivated team players with strong interpersonal skills;
  • are capable of designing and delivering outstanding lessons and have a sophisticated understanding of how young people learn;
  • are confident in using ICT for teaching, assessment and administration;
  • want to make a difference and believe that education should provide young people with the skills and values for further study, the world of work and life.

Cobham Free School is a publicly-funded, independently run co-educational school which opened its primary phase in September 2012 and changed to all-through status (4-18 years) in September 2014.
