Mission:

Cultivate an enriching environment where students can explore, discover, and develop their love for music. This involves not only focusing on the development of technical and theoretical skills, but also on fostering creativity, individual expression, and intercultural understanding through music, and promoting values of collaboration, respect, and diversity through meaningful and enriching musical experiences, preparing students to excel in an interconnected and constantly evolving environment while cultivating international mindedness.

Functions:

  • Plan, prepare, develop and deliver lessons in accordance with school curriculum guidelines and requirements, the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) and the LOMLOE.
  • Develop and present lesson plans using a variety of models and teaching techniques in subject areas.
  • Use technology pertinently to support instruction.
  • Collaborate with other teachers to review, develop and write new vertical and horizontal curriculum documents, assessment and reporting.
  • Keep abreast of international developments in the field, in practice and methodology.
  • Observe, monitor and evaluate student learning and progress, maintaining accurate and complete records of academic achievement.
  • Prepare assessment tasks and tests, homework and other projects.
  • Model classroom inquiry practice and the IB learner profile.
  • Differentiate courses of study and lessons to meet the individual needs of diverse students based on their academic ability and prior achievement.
  • Communicate student progress and assessments to tutors and/or families.
  • Maintain good student behavior in the classroom and on school premises in accordance with disciplinary policies.
  • Prepare the classroom environment and maintain a safe, secure, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Participate in meetings and professional development opportunities, as well as other school and institutional events.
  • Be willing to participate, cooperate and possibly lead other initiatives in the school related to the development of school culture, leadership among students and promotion of school values, such as projects, field trips, events, as a way to effectively meet the personal, social (wellness) and academic needs of students and staff.

REQUIREMENTS / REQUISITOS: 

1.Academic background 

Teaching Degree in Primary Education with a specialization in music or a Master's degree in the Music.

Desirable:

  • Master's degree in teaching

2. Professional experience 

Previous experience as a Music teacher.

Desirable

  • Experience in international contexts.

3. Languajes - Idiomas:  

Level C1 English

Ability to communicate in Spanish

4. IT skills

Office package management.

Desirable:

  • Experience in Managebac or similar.
