One Year Fixed Term Contract

The governors’ first priority is to appoint an excellent class teacher to maintain our commitment to excellence and high standards in all aspects of school life.

The successful candidate will join a very professional team of committed hard working teachers. Teamwork plays an important part in the organisation and development of the school and is vital in this role. The successful candidate will need to be able to work closely with colleagues on all aspects of the curriculum and organisational planning. Year group teams of teachers and support staff work closely together, sharing the planning of the class curriculum. The role will encompass leading specific targeted learning of children ensuring our children continue to achieve the best results possible. There is a programme of staff Key stage and year team meetings weekly throughout the year. Training and Development is a high priority and a willingness to take on new challenges is important.

Teachers are encouraged to support the extensive extra-curricular programme of sporting, musical and other activities.

Subject co-ordination is undertaken by curriculum teams and for this post your strengths and interests will be taken into account. There is a requirement to take a role within a team on joining the staff. Developing leadership qualities and skills is an expectation for all.

The one year fixed term contract could lead to a permanent contract due to staff changes.
