Job overview

Employer Information:

The New English School in Amman was founded in 1986, and is a coeducational private school catering for students aged 3-18 years. Our Primary school (Grades 1-5)  has a  thriving English stream which runs in parallel with the bilingual stream as an alternative curricula option for parents who don’t wish to subscribe to the bilingual variant, enabling them to make the most appropriate choice for their children. Subsequently Grade 5 students take the Cambridge Primary Checkpoint Exams at the end of the year.

Our Middle school (Grades 6-8) pursues the English stream only, in preparation for the students’ Cambridge Checkpoint Exams at the end of Grade 8. This  Pre-IGCSE programme provides the foundation for IGCSE (G9-10) and GCE AS/A-Level studies (G11-12).

NES graduates pursue a variety of university degree courses in several locations, including the UK, the US, Canada, Lebanon, the UAE and Jordan.

The School has recently partnered with Repton School in the UK to reinforce its credentials as the school of choice in Amman and a Principal is required for September 2015, to lead the school through an exciting phase of development.

The aims of the school

The NES aspires to promote and foster a culture of excellence, dedication and team spirit in all areas of school life. Accordingly, each student is encouraged to fully develop his/her intellectual, emotional and physical potential. We strive to equip each child and young adult with the necessary knowledge, skills and understanding to become independent, caring and responsible members of society.
