Greenacre Multi Academy Trust

Greenacre is a large, 3-19 special Academy, providing education and care for 313 pupils requiring specialist interventions. A happy and successful Academy, we enjoy first class facilities and a supportive and diverse community of pupils, parents and carers. In addition to the main site, Greenacre also runs satellite provision for an additional 30 children in nearby primary and secondary schools, with numbers rising to 50 in September 2015.

In 2013, we were judged to be Outstanding in all four areas by Ofsted and we are now looking for someone who is excited by this opportunity and with the ability to further develop Greenacre as a beacon of educational excellence.

Our new Principal will further develop our networks, expand outreach work and collaborate with our existing partners and stakeholders to ensure the quality we are renowned for is sustained. We have some exciting projects in the pipeline; along with the development of further satellite sites we converted to a Multi-Academy Trust in April 2015, and are continuing to work towards opening a Free School delivering an inclusive provision in the Barnsley area.
