DO YOU LOVE A CHALLENGE AND WANT TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE FOR CHILDREN AND THE SCHOOLS THEY ATTEND?

LOOKING FOR CAREER DEVELOPMENT?

WANT TO BE PART OF A DYNAMIC TEAM?

If you have answered yes to any of these questions then Bracknell-Forest LA is the place for you!

Bracknell Forest is a small, unitary authority accessible from London with good communications, an expanding population and opportunities to work in both urban and rural settings. The presence of multi-national, high-tech business brings relative prosperity; the community continues to work with the social legacy associated with the creation of a new town in the country, whilst the population grows increasingly diverse. The Council is committed to investing in schools, services and community provision, to enhance opportunities and environments for learning for all, to promote social inclusion, and to ensure the health, well-being, success and involvement of young people.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Bracknell Forest for an HCPC registered Educational Psychologist with management experience to head a well-established and highly regarded Educational Psychology service and SEN team who are committed to ensuring high quality practice.

The successful applicant will have a track record in managing change and in applying  psychology creatively to ensure the best inclusive practices and outcomes are achieved for children, young people, families and schools. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to multi-agency working as well as good knowledge and experience of the latest SEN legislation.

The Educational Psychology Service is commissioned to work with a range of services within the Local Authority and is moving towards a part-traded model of service to schools. As such, the Principal Educational Psychologist and Head of SEN role will involve expanding existing models of service delivery and establishing the part-traded model to schools. Applicants should therefore have a keen interest in developing marketing skills.

This is an opportunity to develop your career as an Educational Psychologist by taking a strategic lead in the development of Educational Psychology and SEN processes, policy and practice by continuing to develop two committed and enthusiastic teams as they strive for excellence.
