Job overview

The Education Fellowship was founded in 2012 to deliver the very best provision to children of all backgrounds. The Fellowship’s experienced team is committed to every child at their schools receiving access to a top quality education - and the life opportunities which that can offer. We enable young people to face life confident that they will make a difference wherever they go.

Our aim is to create a group of outstanding institutions that can provide students with the opportunities to realise their full potential.

In support of this vision, the Fellowship is seeking to appoint a new Principal to lead the ongoing improvement journey at Rushden Academy in Northamptonshire.

It is an exciting time to join Rushden as its new leader; in recent years, the Fellowship has incorporated several new academies into the Trust across both the primary and secondary phase, undertaking a programme of considerable investment to secure exceptional outcomes for all. As the new Principal of Rushden Academy, you will play a critical role in taking staff and students on a path towards recognised excellence.

Like any position of this scope, this role has the potential to be challenging and yet hugely rewarding, with the opportunity to develop your career as part of the Trust and to work closely with a number of schools to share and develop the best in pedagogical practice. You will be supported by sector leading resources and a teaching body that is both prepared and equipped to embed the culture of ever increasing attainment that you will seek to instil.

This is a high profile role within the sector; it demands a strategic thinker with a charismatic leadership style and the requisite communication skills to be able to develop and nurture a dedicated team. Your judgment and capacity to support and challenge will have a profound impact when combined with our shared belief in the power of education to change lives for the better. You will embody the practical benefits of co-ownership that are evident in each and every classroom in our academies and work tirelessly to harness the diligent and caring attitude of those that have chosen to be part of the inestimable work that we undertake.
