East Durham College is one of the leading Further Education colleges in the North East England. The College continues to go from strength to strength; with retention, achievement and success rates significantly improving year on year.

The College has three unique campuses. The Peterlee Campus is a stunning £36m new build that opened in January 2009. The Houghall Campus, on the outskirts of Durham City, is the leading provider of land based courses in the region and includes a beautiful 450 acre estate. The Technical Academy is a 30,000 sq. Ft. purpose-built facility providing training in a range of in-demand construction trades.

Programme Area Leader, 36 hours per week, required to:

  • lead the Programme Area, developing an innovative and dynamic Curriculum offer;
  • plan, evaluate and review provision in a process of on-going quality improvement;
  • contribute towards the achievement of the College’s mission, vision and strategic objectives and targets.

You should be educated to degree level or equivalent, hold a relevant vocational or academic qualification in the curriculum area and have experience of curriculum design, planning and delivery.
