Leyton Sixth Form College offers a wide range of A level and vocational courses to approximately 2,000 full-time 16-19 year old students. We are looking for an exceptional individual to lead our Humanities department and to make a significant contribution to the ongoing success of both the department and the college.

As Programme Manager for Humanities you will be responsible for leading the relevant curriculum areas and maintaining high standards of teaching and learning within your team.

You will be key member of the college’s management team and will contribute not only to improvements and success within your own area, but to other college-wide initiatives and activities.

You should be suitably qualified to teach a Humanities subject within a sixth form college. In addition, you should have experience of managing others, excellent communication skills, and a track record of sustained improvement leading to a positive impact on students’ progress. As an inspirational teacher, you will be committed to student-centred learning and to raising the attainment and aspirations of our students.
