We are seeking people of outstanding imagination, intellect and passion to join us as we aim to develop the excellence of our ambitious Summer School. Our staff have a passion for teaching and contributing to an interesting and immensely fun creative curriculum. Our teachers are hard-working and reliable, but also team players who thrive on collaboration with others, sharing imaginative new ideas and who are prepared to try something new. We aim to give our pupils a high quality educational, and culturally enriching and memorable summer experience, and we wish to employ professional staff who share this ethos. Our EAL teachers will all be University graduates and will possess CELTA or Trinity College TESOL (or Accreditation-UK recognised equivalent) or a PGSE (in English or MFL). Applicants with DELTA, QTS (Secondary or Primary) or CELTYL, are particularly welcomed to apply. Native competence in spoken and written English is essential, as is a willingness to be involved in all areas of school life. Opportunities for Houseparent roles may present themselves for the right candidates.

Highfield Summer School is owned and run by Highfield School, a prestigious Prep School known for outstanding academic success and feeding the top Senior Schools in England. Founded in 1907, the School is set in glorious 175 acre grounds in the countryside, only an hour from London and Heathrow Airport. 

The Summer School offers international students aged 8-15 years, a three week taster of life in a real English Country Boarding School; it’s a year at Highfield in miniature! The course provides intensive English language tuition, including Academic English, with experienced and qualified EAL teachers, and in small classes of typically of 8-10 students. 

Children have the chance to experience all the fun of life in an English country boarding school including professional sports coaching and an exciting array of typical boarding school activities, as well as excursions to historical and cultural sites. All this, within a caring and supportive environment dedicated to young learners.
