We are seeking to appoint an experienced quality improvement professional with knowledge of the FE sector to monitor and improve the quality of New College Stamford’s Apprenticeship offer, external partnerships and employability projects.

The Quality Improvement Officer (Apprenticeships and Employer Responsive provision) will work with the a range of key managers to implement new approaches to improving the quality of employer responsive programmes, employability projects and other external delivery partners, such as franchise provision and sub-contracted provision.

The successful candidate will have recent working knowledge and experience of quality improvement processes in Further Education/Work-based Learning/Employability or related area as well as Government Funding in relation to Employer Responsive and external partnership provision is essential.

The successful candidate will be required to work flexibly and work across a wide geographical spread, (primarily but not exclusively in East Midlands and East Anglia) to undertake day to day duties. The geographical area may expand as work based learning, employability projects and external delivery contracts develop.

Reporting to the Apprenticeship Development Manager the successful candidate will be joining the College at a very exciting and challenging time.

New College Stamford is a further education college based in Lincolnshire. It is a college on the move with high expectations and high standards.  In February 2017 New College Stamford was rated GOOD by Ofsted and is now aiming for excellence.

Janet Meenaghan who joined the college in September 2015, has successfully promoted an ambitious vision for the college that focuses very clearly on high expectations of both learners and staff. Through frequent staff meetings, she and her senior managers have communicated well what is working effectively and what is not. They support and encourage staff to take responsibility for improving the quality of teaching, learning and assessment within their subject areas. As a result, the quality of teaching, learning and assessment, and outcomes for learners have improved and are good.
