Job overview

At Ark we believe that, with the right teaching, every child can achieve great things. Our academies give children from all backgrounds an exceptional education - and real choices about their future.

Our Birmingham primaries have much to be proud of. They have achieved a great deal in a short space of time. But our ambitious plans for the future mean there is still much more to do. Which is where you come in…

As our new Regional Director of Primary (Birmingham) you will be every bit as ambitious as we are. Like us, you strive for excellence in everything you do and you hold an unwavering commitment to improving outcomes for all children, regardless of background or ability.

You will line manage Ark’s primary Headteachers in Birmingham, providing the support to deliver an outstanding education for all students through rapid improvement. You will establish a shared culture across all Birmingham primaries that enables everyone to work collaboratively, share best practice and celebrate success.

You’ll bring an impressive track record of raising standards, in complex environments. You’ll have a clear vision of what exceptional education looks like and you’ll be passionate about coaching others and using innovation to achieve it. You’ll use your outstanding pedagogy, flair for developing talent and inspirational leadership to create a truly exceptional hub of schools.

Leadership opportunities like this don’t come along very often. This is a rare opportunity to make a significant difference to the lives of many pupils and the communities in which they live.

We’re always keen to hear from exceptional leaders. For an informal conversation, please contact Ark’s Head of Principal Recruitment, Corrina O’Beirne, on 0203 116 6310 or Corrina.O’Beirne@arkonline.org.
