This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving, co-educational independent day school on the outskirts of Bristol. We are looking for a dynamic and highly capable School Office Administrator, with excellent customer service skills, to ensure the smooth running of a busy school office. The successful candidate will act as first point of contact to visitors, parents and pupils, as well as providing administrative support to the Preparatory school.

This post is to cover maternity leave and is therefore offered as a temporary contract, starting from the Autumn Term 2024 for a maximum of 52 weeks.

The role:

The School Office Administrator will communicate effectively and professionally at all times. They will take personal responsibility for managing their workload, being flexible in the face of changing demands, and have a positive approach to work. With responsibilities for reception, pupil records in regard to attendance and pupil First Aid, the successful candidate will have a strong understanding and working knowledge of confidentiality, GDPR and Safeguarding as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Collegiate School is a thriving co-educational day school on the outskirts of Bristol. The School occupies a glorious thirty-acre campus and has all of its facilities on-site. We are easily accessible from the motorway network, with approximately 800 students aged from 3 to 18. The Collegiate Preparatory School, specialising in the care of our younger students, enjoys its own dedicated campus a short walk from the Senior School.

Hours and salary:

The hours for this role will be 37.5 hours per week, working 8:00am to 4:00pm Monday to Friday, including half an hour unpaid lunch break. The role is term time (35 weeks including INSET), with 2 additional weeks to be worked flexibly during the school holidays. Time worked outside of term time can be carried out remotely.

You will receive a salary of between £19,758 and £21,476 per annum, (£23,000 and £25,000 FTE), depending on skills, experience and qualifications, and including a holiday allowance based on 25 days per year plus 8 bank holidays. Other benefits include lunch during term time, free parking on site and a defined contribution pension scheme.
