Due to the retirement of the current Bursar, the governing body is seeking to appoint a dynamic and forward thinking Bursar to join our school leadership team. The successful candidate will have experience of managing the finances of a large institution, department or business. They will also be skilled in leadership and management, with excellent inter personal skills.

Cardinal Newman School is an 11-19 mixed Voluntary Aided school, with 780 pupils currently on role. The school is over-subscribed in Year 7 and our role is projected to rise to over 800 in 2015. The school has an excellent reputation for both our academic results and our pastoral care. We are a Central South ‘Hub School’ offering school to school support to other schools in the consortium. We are a ‘Green School’ in the new Welsh Government banding. We consider ourselves an ‘Excellent’ school and eagerly await having this confirmed in our next inspection.
