Oaklands is an excellent special school based in Isleworth. Our pupils have severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning difficulties or autistic spectrum disorders.

We need to appoint a talented and enthusiastic School Business manager as a result of the retirement of our longstanding School Business Manager at Easter.

Oaklands is at an exciting point in its development; our student numbers have already increased by one third during the past 4 years and we are currently working towards further expansion and full school relocation to a purpose built new school in Hounslow for September 2018. Once full Oaklands will operate on two sites, will have primary, secondary and college departments and a staff of 280. Once both school sites are open we would expect to appoint both a finance and a business manager and are open to the candidate we appoint now moving to either role.

We are interested to hear from candidates with sound business, financial and project management experience to manage our administrative and site teams and to take a strategic lead in the relocation of the school to enable the leadership team to focus on our student’s education.

Oaklands is an excellent special school serving the London Borough of Hounslow. We provide specialist education to students with severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple difficulties and autism. Upon completing their apprenticeship, our staff can progress onto LSA or TA roles.  

We offer teacher training sponsorship and are currently sponsoring 4 of our TA’s through teacher training, 3 of whom started their career at Oaklands on our teaching assistant apprenticeship.  

We would like to offer work experience placements to students interested in pursuing a career in special education and are always keen to hear from those wanting to volunteer in our school.
