Due to the current post holder taking on a different role in school for health reasons, the Governors invite applications for the post of School Business Manager to contribute towards the further development of this happy, thriving and successful school which is set in the heart of the beautiful Ribble Valley.

We are seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate with a background in business and finance who is committed to ensuring each young person at our school receives the very best opportunities in every area of school life. This will be accomplished through developing further a financial infra-structure to support and extend their learning.

Our excellent staff, happy children and positive ethos make our school a vibrant community, and the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the team which moves the school into its next phase of development from 'good' to 'outstanding'.

We can offer you the opportunity to:

  • play a key leadership role in an excellent school which is continually looking forwards;
  • work with the Senior Leadership Team in developing the School Development Plan, through budget planning and forecasting;
  • lead teams of people, supporting them through rigorous and supportive accountability;

Longridge High School is a mixed, comprehensive, Church of England secondary school without sixth form situated in the town of Longridge in central Lancashire. It is a community state school under the Diocese of Blackburn. A smaller than average size for a secondary school, the school will provide 825 places for secondary school students between the ages of 11-16 when fully subscribed.

The school has a specialism in maths in computing, and is sometimes known by the name Longridge High School – A Maths and Computing College.
