School Cleaner

13.75 hours per week - 3.30 - 6.15 Monday to Friday

Term Time plus four weeks of hours to be worked in the school holidays. Exact timings may be able to have some slight adjustment to 3.45- 6.30.

We are looking for a school cleaner who takes pride in their work and who will be commited to ensuring the school premises are cleanedto a high standard, and will ensure the school premises are always left clean and ready for the children the next day.

In summary a cleaner has to:

• Be able to organise themselves and their time efficiently to ensure the designated areas are clean, tidy and ready for the next day for the children.
• Be well organised and have a systematic and conscientious approach to their duties
• Be able to think and act flexibly if required, to show initiative and work well independently
• Be able to deal sensitively and appropriately with a range of people in the school community
• Pay attention to detail and take a pride in their work, ensuring the school is always in an excellent condition for the children and staff
• Understand the important nature of their role, especially in terms of health and safety and security and carry out such duties conscientiously
• Agree with the school’s aims and values and work hard to uphold them
• Be reliable, honest, trustworthy and hardworking and work well as part of a team and support those around them.
• Be aware of safeguarding requirements and always work in a manner where safeguarding standards and expectations are upheld

We take the safeguarding of our children very seriously, and full background checks and a DBS check will be required. We will also require two references from previous employers
