Organize and manage the library, ensuring its effective use by all groups of students.

Under the guidance of the senior leaders, create and implement a policy for the library which incorporates the educational aims and objectives of the school, and complies with data protection, copyright, health and safety legislation and the school's disciplinary code.

Make books and materials available to students and teachers who have come for research.

Devise and implement effective library systems that include procurement, issue, and return of library resources.

Contribute to teaching learning by supporting the academic team to procure library resources for students and teachers. This includes selecting, acquiring, organizing, and promoting resources throughout the school.

Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the service provided by the library and its impact on teaching and learning.

Ensuring that all resources offered are in line with the curriculum requirements in compliance with the country’s culture and values.

 Supervising pupils using the library for independent study and maintaining a welcoming, supportive atmosphere conducive to positive learning experiences.

Supporting and advising staff and pupils in the selection and use of information resources to support their curricular and leisure needs.

Participate in implementing the national policies concerning issues like material selection, circulation, reconsideration of materials, copyright, privacy, and acceptable use.

Encourage the use of modern teaching technology to commit students and to improve learning, providing all day access to digital information resources for the entire learning community, therefore meeting with global update.

 Planning and delivering a program to support the development and teaching of information literacy and learning skills in partnership with the academic team and reinforcing these skills where appropriate.

 Planning for strategies to develop reading and the enjoyment of reading in all forms and for all groups of students.

To establish and monitor reading corners in student assembly points and devise strategies for effective use.

Organize book fairs, authorial interactions and other programs that promote reading and writing among students.

Develop strategies to encourage, celebrate and award reading amongst students.

Coordinate and encourage participation in literary competitions/ events from all groups of students.

Use appropriate and effective techniques to encourage community and parent involvement.

Promoting and publicizing the services provided by the library to the whole school community.

Maintaining a comprehensive awareness of current developments in information and library management, education, and children's literature

Developing and maintaining links with other libraries and relevant organizations, public library service, universities and colleges and museums)

Planning for library budget under the guidance of the principal and implementing it.

Ensure that all library records are accurate and up to date.
