The job

The secretary is a member of the school’s support staff. As a secretary you provide versatile support to the running of the school and are one of the first points of contact for parents and teachers. The position involves a combination of support and administrative tasks. The secretary, as part of the admin team, supports the leadership team and educational personnel within a front office setting.

Key expectations for this role:

  • Taking the lead in the administration of applications for admission;
  • Advising and informing parents about the school and procedures for admission;
  • Providing administrative support for the school departments;
  • Carrying out assignments as required in order to assist the heads of departments;
  • Processing data in student administration systems using various software packages;
  • Conducting absence registration of students;
  • Communicating information to parents, staff and students and assisting with queries;
  • Secretarial work with responsibility for the student monitoring system;
  • Member of the first aid and emergency evacuation team.

What can you expect from us?

  • An appointment with a minimum of 32 hours and a maximum of 36 hours per week starting August 2024;
  • Salary grading takes place in scale 4 (min. € 2.136,- max. € 2.961,-);

Requirements for this position at the ISE are; eligibility to work in the EU, relevant qualifications and/or experience, preferably within school admissions or a school office. Good command of spoken and written English (minimum C1 level) with the ability to draft correspondence at a typing speed of at least 40 wpm.
