Job overview

Home Based Schools Development Executive (STEM), OCR x3, South West x1, South East x1, London x1

OCR has a robust business development strategy to proactively manage customers to increase customer satisfaction and loyalty, and drive profitable growth based on intimate customer knowledge, customer business plans and sales campaigns, supported by best-in-class sales management.

We have an immediate and exciting opportunity to extend our team’s capacity in STEM and so are recruiting Schools Development Executives (SDE) for a 39 week, term time only, contract (13 April 2015 – 30 March 2016) to join our existing team of Business Development professionals. Full induction and product training will be provided. We anticipate that the role may potentially attract teachers, and/or an education sales representative, and we welcome applications from anyone who meets the person specification requirements. The SDEs will be equipped with a laptop and phone and will be expected to be visiting customers on a minimum of 4 days per week.

The SDE team will be visiting an average of 10 schools per week in order to generate signed commitment to teaching relevant OCR qualifications from September 2015.

The SDE will need to utilise his/her own technical specialism and seek out those of others to meet deadlines and achieve the overall sales result.

The role will be home-based, requiring extensive travel around a defined territory (South West, South East and London) and some days at OCR Head office site in Coventry and Cambridge. The induction period, in the first two weeks, will take place in Cambridge. Applicants must possess a full, UK driving licence and own car.

Additional information:

The closing date for applications is 1st March and interviews will be held in Coventry on 5th March.
