Science or Biology Teacher

We are looking to appoint motivated, inspirational, and enthusiastic Science or Biology Specialist Teacher to join our successful team, working with students aged 11-16 years who have been excluded or are close to being excluded from school. Students attend full or part time and are referred to us by schools and the Local Authority.

We looking to recruit a versatile qualified Teacher who can teach Science or Biology but also help teach across a range of subjects. You must be passionate about ensuring students succeed both academically and pastorally. Our ideal candidate may already have experience Teaching in our kind of setting or have worked with young people who have SEMH difficulties. 

 Working on a model which is similar to a primary setting, the students remain in their form room for over half of their timetable and are taught in small groups. Our curriculum focuses on Reading, English, Maths, Biology/Science, PE and Art, Cooking, PSHE, ICT and Outdoor Education.
