What We Are Looking For
We are seeking applications from experienced educational leaders with strong primary school experience. This is a great opportunity to work in an interesting and exciting overseas location. The science specialist will be responsible for Science in Grades 7 and 8. Ideally you will also teach ICT in those grades.

- high standard of classroom management and teaching skills
- interpersonal skills which will contribute to effective teamwork in a collegial setting
- willingness and ability to promote student welfare and contribute to the life of the school
About the Job
Teachers are responsible to the school principal for all aspects of classroom management on a single or composite grade class. You may also be expected to provide some assistance and guidance to other teachers at the school if you have a particular area of expertise.
The Ela Murray IS has an enrolment of 550 students and caters for Grades Pre to 8. It is one of the 19 schools across the country operated by the International Education Agency, a not-for-profit organisation with 36 years experience in education in PNG.

The International Education Agency is the oldest and largest private education provider in Papua New Guinea. It is a non-profit company responsible for the management of twenty school campuses and a large vocational college throughout the country.
Each school is controlled by a Board of Governors elected by the parents. Schools are managed by Principals who are each responsible to the Director of Education. The IEA curriculum has been developed in line with current international curriculum trends.
