Daventry UTC is a unique institution; part of a new concept in education which offers students aged 14-19 the chance to follow a high quality, technically-orientated course of study, in facilities equipped to the highest standards. The UTC’s focus on sustainable and related new technologies in engineering, sustainable construction, and environmental sustainability reflects the growing demand by businesses in the UK for well-qualified technical specialists.

Studying at Daventry UTC will help students get a head start on the career ladder. With the academic and technical qualifications students will have the opportunity to complete at the UTC, they can progress direct to work, high level apprenticeships or university, following dynamic career pathways that could take them anywhere in the world. We want our students to be part of the next generation of engineering, construction and technology leaders. The curriculum is skilfully contextualised to deliver an innovative blend of academic and technical studies, shaped by our sponsors: Moulton College, The University of Northampton and world class industry partners.

We acknowledge that moving to a new College at age 14 or 16 is a huge decision for students and their parents/carers alike. However, we also hear from countless employers that young people leave education without the required skills and experience for them to undertake a meaningful role in the workplace. Guided by our emphasis on developing employability, business and personal skills, and informed by an integrated core and technical curriculum, every student should expect to leave Daventry UTC with a desire to achieve excellent standards and be ready to progress either into employment or further/higher education.
