Job overview

Haven High Academy is situated in the town of Boston in rural Lincolnshire. The Academy is part of the Boston Witham Academies Federation, which includes Carlton Road, Staniland and Wygate Park Academies.

Haven High Academy (heavily oversubscribed with 1,150 students including 100 in Sixth Form) was graded good in all aspects by Ofsted in June 2013. We offer a friendly, supportive working environment, which values talented, committed staff and offers excellent professional development opportunities to assist with career progression.

Due to further expansion of the Academy and a record number of applicants into the Sixth Form, we are seeking to appoint a Teacher of Science with UK QTS, preferably with a Chemistry or Physics bias from September 2015.

Our mission is: “To create a centre of excellence within and for the community which raises the aspirations and achievement of all stakeholders – an academy which provides support, care, guidance, challenge and empowerment for all.”

Do you have the enthusiasm for teaching and learning that motivates students?

If so, we are looking to appoint a colleague who is:-

  • A talented and dynamic teacher to inspire our students from KS3 to KS5
  • Highly motivated, innovative and committed to achieving outstanding results
  • A qualified science graduate and a good/outstanding practitioner with a flair for creative teaching
  • Keen to join a highly collaborative faculty with excellent resources
  • A professional teacher who understands the importance of best practice and the status of the academy in the community

NQTs welcome to apply.

A recruitment allowance for suitable candidates is available together with a relocation package.
