Ark Putney Academy opened in September 2012 as part of the Ark network, as a mixed, non-selective new 11-18 academy. It is a mixed school with 465 students, ranging from year 7 through to a very successful sixth form. Having been recognised in 2011 by the DfE as one of the most improved schools in the country Ark Putney Academy was judged by Ofsted, in March 2013 to be a good school in all aspects of its work.

We are now recruiting for an enthusiastic and talented English teacher who will support the head of department in developing the English curriculum and assessment procedures in light of the recent government changes.

The ideal candidate will:

Ark Putney Academy is a mixed secondary school with sixth form in Putney, south-west London. The school has recently undergone a refurbishment and now boasts exceptional indoor and outdoor sports facilities, plus an arts centre, spacious classrooms and specialist teaching rooms.
