Chesterton Community Sports College is a fully subscribed and successful school with an established ethos based on the principle of being ‘The Best You Can Be’. The school is at the centre of the community and offers a broad and balanced curriculum that supports the development of each pupil. We continue to drive up high standards to support all pupils to achieve their individual best.
We have an excellent reputation for our supportive and warm working atmosphere and caring staff. CCSC remain a smaller than average secondary school with approximately 900 pupils and this has been a factor in our success. Although we are fully subscribed, we know our pupils well and visitors often remark on the 'positive ethos' within the school.
The school has much strength: students who are motivated and successful, a highly professional and enthusiastic staff and good partnerships with our parents and carers.
CCSC is now one of the highest performing schools in the area in terms of GCSE results and we are extremely proud that our Progress 8 score proves that our pupils are successful across a range of subjects. More pupils are moving onto full time education post-16 and students from Chesterton Community Sports College are successful in achieving places at University.
We have excellent facilities and offer a curriculum that is at the forefront of modern teaching with iPads for all pupils and interactive facilities in every classroom including Apple TV and MacBook. Pupils also have the use of two brand new computer suites equipped with 60 Apple iMacs.
Our primary enrichment supports the transition process and ensures that children settle quickly. Our pastoral care is structured so that the pupils always have someone to turn to if they need to.
