Job overview

We are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity to join the dynamic team at Ermitage International IB School as a Performing Arts Teacher, in the natural settings of Maisons-Laffitte, 20 minutes from the centre of Paris.

The Performing Arts Teacher will specialise in Music and Drama, for Middle School students aged 11-16 years. The position will start in August 2024.

The ideal candidate will be a multi-talented instrumentalist with experience of teaching Music and Drama, and leading school performances. Knowledge of the Middle Years Programme (IB MYP) and/or international school experience is advantageous. We seek a candidate who will bring an energetic and creative inquiry-based approach with a focus on student-centred, whole-child learning, to support our development of a vibrant and inclusive Arts programme.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing a student choir and instrumental groups, with dedicated time for activities at lunchtime and after school, in addition to a number of scheduled class times during the school day.

We value open-mindedness, versatility, and strong communication skills, as the Performing Arts Teacher will collaborate closely within the Arts department and with other subject teachers school-wide. Our language of instruction is English.

If you are passionate about inspiring young minds through Performing Arts and thrive in a caring, collaborative, and diverse environment, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding position.

Candidates will need to have permission to work in the European Union, and be available to relocate to France for the start of the school year on 20 August 2024.
