Secondary School English Teacher

We are seeking a dynamic and well-qualified teacher with the vision to deliver high standards of teaching and learning in the English Faculty. You will be required to teach English throughout the school from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5, whilst making a full contribution to the ethos, identity and life of the school.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about raising learners’ individual achievements with innovative ideas to build on existing good practice. Recent relevant experience and the ability to use modern technologies in teaching and learning would be an advantage.

• a degree, with a teaching qualification;
• a strong track record of outstanding English teaching;
• be a 'learner' and a reflective practitioner;
• a passion for English which is evident in his/her day to day classroom practice;
• previous IB teaching experience preferable, however not essential;
• the ability to work in collaboration with other members of staff to develop and manage artistic projects;
• exceptional personal organisational and time management skills;
• the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing;
• the ability to guide students' academic, personal and professional development, as a tutor, in accordance with EISP’s guidelines and procedures;
• an understanding of key national and international educational policies and issues;
• the ability to inspire high achievement in young people from all backgrounds;
• presence, dynamism, good sense of humour and approachability;
• an excellent record of attendance and punctuality.
