We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about teaching Information Technology and Computer Science within the IB programme. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the latest technologies and be able to effectively engage students in a variety of learning activities.


The responsibilities of the role include:

  • Developing and delivering lessons that meet the needs of IB MYP/DP students
  • Assessing student progress and providing feedback
  • Collaborating with other teachers and staff
  • Maintaining a positive learning environment through effective interpersonal skills and forming positive, yet professional relationships with students, staff, and parents
  • Developing the current MYP IT programme with possibility of extending this to Diploma programme
  • Teaching Mathematics and/or Sciences
  • Homeroom teacher duties and responsibilities


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science and related fields
  • 2+ years of experience teaching computer science and technology
  • Experience of/ willingness to adapt to IB Programme approaches and curriculum
  • Strong understanding of the latest technologies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team


The candidate must speak English at a native level. It would be an advantage to hold an EU passport and/or have relevant working papers for employment in France.  The ability to teach in an IB MYP/DP context and lead an after-school activity would also be advantageous. This full-time position starts in August 2024 with the possibility of an earlier start for the right candidate.
