The Thomas Alleyne Academy is an 11-18 co-educational academy which is justly proud of its reputation as a happy, caring, and safe community where success is expected, achieved and celebrated.  There has been education on our current site since 1558.  We converted to academy status in September 2013 and we are a proud member of the Hart Schools Trust, a multi-academy trust committed to supporting schools in our local area.  In June 2015, Ofsted confirmed the rapid transformation of the academy when it awarded the school ‘Good’ in all areas with ‘Outstanding’ leadership and management.

Headteacher

Mark Lewis

Ofsted report

“The academy’s leaders are highly effective and are bringing about marked improvements in teaching and in students’ progress. Students behave well and the academy’s work ton keep them safe is good. Provision for students’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development is outstanding. Students are prepared very well for life in modern Britain, for the world of work and for the next stage of their education. Teaching is good. Most teachers capture students’ enthusiasm and interest with activities that are matched well to their needs.”
