This position offers an exciting opportunity for the right candidate who is a dynamic, committed and knowledgeable SENCO.

You will develop an inspiring vision using the new SEND Framework and Code of Practice to support children with SEND to make outstanding progress. In addition you will have successfully undertaken or be prepared to undertake the SENCO national accreditation. In this role your SENCO responsibilities will mean you will be working in the brand new Bath Studio School with new, state of the art facilities and also Aspire Academy, our BESD special school setting.

With a proven ability to lead, develop and inspire a team not only will you have excellent communication and motivation skills but also the ability to create conditions for sustained improvement.

If you are a SENCO Teacher who is relentless in the pursuit of improving standards and who has extensive experience of working with young people with SEND then we would like to hear from you.

The Bath Studio School is a new type of school which provides students not only with high quality qualifications but also the key employability skills to set them up for life. It is a supportive setting with a curriculum that has a range of vocational and academic qualifications to ensure every student meets their full potential and personal goals for the future.

The Bath Studio School forms part of Wellsway Multi Academy Trust, a growing group of schools in East Bristol and Bath, incorporating Wellsway School, The Bath Studio School and Aspire Academy.

The new IKB Studio School will be opening on the Wellsway site in autumn 2015.

About The Bath Studio School

The Bath Studio School is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational secondary school with sixth form in Somerset, serving students from the age of 14-19. The secondary school, situated in Bath is in partnership with Wellsway School in Bristol. 

The Bath Studio School teaches the national curriculum, along with vocational learning, allowing for students to learn on regular work placements with businesses to equip them with the necessary employability skills to succeed in the future.
