Are you an experienced adult learning tutor looking for a new challenge and arena for your skills? We require an enthusiastic and talented Senior Adult and Community Learning Officer to support the excellent work of Eastleigh College’s Adult and Community Learning faculty. The high performing faculty offers over 250 part time courses for adult learners in five venues across the area.

As the Senior Adult and Community Learning Officer you will play a key role in ensuring the quality of teaching and learning across the Leisure Learning programme. You will work closely with the Adult and Community Learning Manager, the Adult and Community Learning Officers and the sessional tutors in a dynamic department within an Outstanding college. As the Senior Adult and Community Learning Officer you will be able to demonstrate: an ability to support tutors to achieve outstanding practice; an understanding of data and an ability to identify actions arising; a flexible approach to your work, to enable you to manage the workload; and a willingness to work with tutors, colleagues and students to address any problems arising.

You will be a fully qualified teacher, with the confidence required to support others in their role. You will possess excellent administration and data handling skills and a willingness to work flexibly to meet the needs of the role (hours can be met within the school day if required, but some evening work will be required). Experience in conducting Internal Verification will be advantageous.

Eastleigh College was graded as ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted in 2012. It is a highly successful Further Education College with approx. 600 staff catering to the needs of students aged 14 upwards.
