Job Description:

Fife Childcare and Early Years Services provides a range of childcare services throughout Fife, including around 50 Out of School Clubs for children aged 4 - 14 years old and local Creches for children aged 6 weeks to 12 years old.

Requirements:

  • Before confirming appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups ( PVG ) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.

Responsibilities:

  • You will assist the Childcare Manager, in managing the Out of School Care Service. The work is varied involving supervising staff, health & safety checks, financial management, administrative duties, organising and taking part in activities ranging from art, crafts or drama, to taking children on outings, outdoor games or active sports.
  • Experience of working with children aged 4 - 14 years in a childcare setting and the ability to provide a safe,
    stimulating play environment in accordance with current legislation is essential.

The Individual:

  • You must be eligible to register with SSSC as a Practitioner and hold an SVQ Level 3 in Play Work (or equivalent) and be willing to work towards qualifications that will maintain your registration.
