Join a friendly and highly motivated staff team delivering an expanding range of education programmes. The University of Hertfordshire has a strong track record in quality in ITE and a commitment to developing courses to meet the needs of students and school partners.

We need a knowledgeable Primary Educator to join our existing Initial Teacher Education team, where work is changing to include delivery of teaching with a range of school based and other partners. The successful applicant will demonstrate the subject knowledge and professional expertise to teach inspiring primary science and mathematics to students on ITE and other relevant programmes. You will have a strong understanding of current issues in primary teaching, evidence of outstanding practice and a personal commitment to learning and teaching.

The successful applicant will be a qualified, experienced primary teacher with some leadership experience. You will be able to demonstrate excellent practice, including evidence of leading the learning of adults. You may either currently be in school or engaged in initial teacher education at a Higher Education establishment. You will have an interest in research and scholarship and will either already hold a higher degree or be willing to work towards one. An interest in other areas of primary education would be an advantage.

The post is based at the de Havilland Campus, Hatfield.
