Engineering Opportunities in North Lincolnshire

North Lincolnshire has a proud tradition in Engineering and Manufacturing and this has provided a firm foundation for some exciting developments, particularly around Renewable Energy with thousands of jobs being created over the next few years. To provide the Engineers, Technicians and Crafts people required by both existing and new employers an investment of over £22m has been made in providing industry standard facilities and equipment. Central to this is the new Engineering and Technology Centre at North Lindsey College, a brand new University Technical College, an Apprentice Training Centre based at Tata Steel and the University Centre at North Lindsey College.

To ensure that we maximise this investment we are looking to recruit high quality, dynamic teachers, lecturers, facilitators and assessors as well as a Head of Engineering to lead these developments.

If you are an existing Lecturer/Teacher or interested in a career in training and education we would love to hear from you. We're particularly looking for electrical, mechanical, fabrication and welding skills and can provide full teacher training for suitable candidates.

A market forces payment may be applicable for certain roles.
Teacher training opportunities are available at North Lindsey College & Outwood Grange Academy

We have strong partnerships with a wide range of industry companies, including Phillips 66, Cristal, British Steel, Airco, the Royal Air Force, University of Hull and Jacobs.

We opened in 2015 and specialise in Engineering. We are fortunate to have amazing technical facilities, a multi-million pound campus featuring specialist engineering equipment, including 3D printing suites, science labs and workshops.

Values and vision

Our vision is to put students at the front of the queue for engineering apprenticeships and university places. We want to provide all students with an amazing education to allow them to fill the significant gap in the local labour market. We give students outstanding academic and technical training to ensure that they leave with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in the industry. We have a strong belief in the power of good relationships. All students wear business dress, have a professional attitude  and feel safe and cared for. We provide vocational learning opportunities that relate to business and industry, allowing for students to be a step ahead when applying for work in the future. Students who are successful in completing their education at the UTC are guaranteed a place at the University of Hull or have the chance to be fast-tracked on to the many engineering apprensticeships in the area
