The Faculty of Education and Health has a large and varied portfolio and offers a range of multi-disciplinary degrees, masters and taught doctorate programmes. The PGCE and BA programmes, within the Department of Primary Education, are very well regarded and they have an excellent reputation for their provision, with high student satisfaction ratings and graduate employment rates. The Department is seeking to appoint a flexible and adaptable professional who is committed to providing a high quality experience for students across a range of mathematics courses in primary teacher education within the Department.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals with a proven track record of primary and/or Early Years practice and experience of working with trainee teachers in schools. You should be a graduate with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have a higher degree (or be working towards a higher degree). You should also have a doctorate (or be committed to work towards a doctorate).
Successful candidates would also be expected to contribute to the teaching of Educational and Professional Studies (e.g. inclusion, preparation for teaching, behaviour management and assessment) and partnership development work.
