Senior Manager – Data Services
Salary: CI$61,224 - $71,016 per annum

The  successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic management of data within the Department of Education Services, including collection, verification, detailed analysis and communication of data, the development of data systems, and the creation and presentation of detailed analytical reports in relation to data including school level, departmental, student (individual and collective) and related external data in order to support effective planning, recordkeeping and decision-making within the Department of Education Services and the Ministry of Education.

The post holder will  also supports the entire education system in the effective implementation of the student information management system and related educational data, communications systems, for example computerized timetabling, virtual learning environments, and electronic communications. 

Required qualifications, experience and skills include the following:

? A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in the area of economics, statistics, mathematics, or a related discipline but with demonstrated knowledge of various aspects of the use of data in education and strategic planning. A minimum of 5 years experience in data management, ideally in an education context.  At least 3 years experience as a professional educator is highly desirable, preferably with a range of responsibilities and/or experiences.

? The post holder must have experience in working with a range of relevant software such as Microsoft Office with mastery of Excel and Access.

? The post holder must have experience in management of complex student information systems, including setting up data structures and reports, preferably including specific experience with SIMS software.

? The post holder must have a  high standard of written, numerical, analytical, statistical analysis, records management and problem solving skills. Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to manage time effectively and meet challenging deadlines.

? The post holder must be able to research, assimilate and analyze various types of data, including forecasting and projection.

? The post holder must have an understanding of the timetabling process using relevant software is essential as this post provides support for schools in a range of timetabling activities.
