We are looking for a dynamic innovative Senior Technician Facilitator who will lead and facilitate skills based projects within our innovative learning company Blue Orange as part of the Creative Arts Department. Blue Orange is an innovative learning environment that engages directly with industry. Within this unique learning environment the designers work directly with industry to give them a unique opportunity.

The successful candidate will be able to inspire and motivate the creatives and facilitate practical skills based session. You will be supporting Blue Orange staff to ensure the smooth running of the projects and the curriculum.  You will be expected to have competency in design packages including, Photoshop, Illustrator, In design and a good knowledge of print based media.  Support students so they have the best experience possible while at blue orange, ensuring technical resources are used and maintained effectively. Trouble shoot general technical issues and ensure required equipment is ready to use for all activities and all equipment is looked after and adhering to health and safety requirements.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be an experienced technician within an educational establishment. 
  • Be experienced in leading and working cooperatively within a team. 
  • Have experience of Health and Safety requirements. 
  • Have competency in design packages including, Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign and a good knowledge of print based media.  
  • Hold a Level 4 qualification in Graphic Design or related fields. 
  • Have GCSE A* - C Grade or Level 2 equivalent in Maths and English.
