Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND) Support Services are looking for a dynamic and creative Service Manager. The successful applicant will have extensive experience in SEND and will have demonstrated creativity and have a proven track record of excellence in this area. If you fulfil these requirements and wish to work in a service which is innovative and at the leading edge of SEND reforms, we look forward to hearing from you.

Requirements of the post include: 

  • Qualified Teacher Status or qualified Educational Psychologist;
  • Additional specialist qualification in an area of SEND or equivalent experience;
  • Substantial and broad experience of senior management level working in the field of special educational needs with clear evidence of multi-agency and partnership working;
  • Experience of managing teams and related budgets and resources;
  • Knowledge of legislation in relation to SEND;
  • Experience in managing service delivery through objective based performance management;
  • Ability to think creatively in complex situations; deal with complex and conflicting views and come to agreed productive outcomes;
  • Ability to motivate, influence and negotiate with a wide range of stakeholders and partners;
  • Subject to an Enhanced DBS check
