About the role

To ensure effective teaching of Modern Foreign Languages for all pupils and to contribute to raising standards of student achievement. Support the policies, aims and ethos of the school and ensure the good social, emotional and physical development of every child.

What you will be doing

  • Successfully teaching MFL (Spanish) across the Primary Age Range
  • Enhancing student self-esteem through a supportive, encouraging, yet challenging approach to learning, employing a wide variety of teaching styles suited to the needs of individuals and small groups as well as whole classes
  • Preparing, teaching, marking work and maintaining records of attendance, progress, behaviour and achievement in accordance with agreed school policies, using the information to raise standards of learning, with target grades set and reviewed regularly with students.
  • Working collaboratively with other staff as members of teams, departments and other cross-curricular groups. Their contributions of their own particular talents and skills to such groups will aid the production of new initiatives, policies, resources, schemes of work etc

 

Who we are looking for:

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Ability to teach MFL across the Primary Age Range with the ability to plan and prepare effectively.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work well under pressure, delegate, plan and manage time effectively
  • Experience of Teaching EYFS, Key Stages 1 or 2
  • Respectful towards all students, with an unshakable belief in their entitlement to a high quality education, whatever their circumstances and ability
  • Commitment to further professional development
